Richard Hawley to Headline No Direction Home
Posted by
Schönberg
Richard Hawley has been revealed as the finale headline act for the No Direction Home Festival to be held at Welbeck Abbey this summer (see here for a blog post on this). Richard is a bloody good musician, with a great and long track record, and he just so happens to support the best football team in the world as well. An excellent addition to the line-up if you ask me.
The Schönbergs will be attending the festival, if you want to join us, visit http://www.nodirectionhomefestival.com for details and tickets.
Richard has collaborated recently with fellow Sheffield exponents Arctic Monkeys, wonder if he can persuade them down for the encore?

Arctic Monkeys appear to be back and it's sounding good. New direction me thinks and heading in the right direction.
Their new album, Suck It and See will be out on 6th June.
Oh and Elbow's new album arrived on my doorstep this week so that's what I'm listening to at the moment if you're interested...

Pop Quiz (Part 5)

Each day, for ten days, I'm posting a track and you have to guess what they've got in common.
This is one of the Arctic Monkeys' shorter tracks and I think it shows the darker side of the band.

Missing Link Part 5

Ok, this is how it works. I post a song each day (ish) and you have to guess what all the songs have in common. If you get the answer please don't post a comment so that other people can have a go and I'll post the answer at the end. It's just an excuse to post some good songs...

So have you got it yet? No? It's supposed to be dead easy so hopefully you have. This is the next track, an underrated song by Arctic Monkeys, Leave Before The Lights Come On.
As I'm feeling generous I'll also give you another track as a clue.
